Linking a Domain Registration service

When a domain registration service is added to a clients account, there are two possible choices of where to link the domain name to:

  1. Linked to Parked: This will park the domain name on one of our servers and set the nameservers to that of the server the domain is parked on. At the moment this is one of our international servers and the nameservers that will be used is NS1.LTSERV.NET and NS2.LTSERV.NET. The domain name can now be registered and once registered it will point to a SnapBill parked page.
  2. Linked to Custom nameservers: This will point the domain name to an existing hosting account with another website hosting service provider. If you wish to host with Lusion Technologies there is no need to add custom nameservers. You may use NS1.LTSERV.NET and NS2.LTSERV.NET if the domain resides on one of Lusion Technologies international servers or NS1.DNS.CO.ZA or NS2.DNS.CO.ZA if the domain resides on one of the Lusion Technologies South African servers.

If there is a website hosting service present on the clients account and you added the domain registration with a website hosting service then the domain would automatically be linked to the website hosting account. If not, the domain may be linked to a website hosting account after you added the clients website hosting service. This would set the nameservers for the domain and point it to the hosting account. The domain would now be ready to be registered our updated.

You can link or change domain name linking at any time by proceeding to the Domain Registrations table under your clients account and clicking the Link domain option.
